2 Christmas gifts

2 Attachment(s)
I gave these 2 quilts as gifts to the Drs I work for - they are great bosses and wonderful surgeons - and they treat me great and respect my contributions. They were both surprised and pleased and glad to see that their names are now off the list. Each quilt has a mistake on it...but that is the charm of homemade :o

Thanks for looking, Pam

What wonderful quilts......what is the name of the first pattern?....if you don't mind me asking.

TIA, Beckie

Tweety2911 12-30-2012 02:47 PM

I have loaned my labyrinth pattern and this makes me want to get it back and start sewing. Those are so very pretty. I am sure they are pleased (and should be).

redquilter 12-30-2012 03:08 PM

Great quilts. So where's the mistakes?????

SouthPStitches 12-30-2012 03:14 PM

Beautiful quilts Pam. Nice to be appreciated. Working for doctors, let alone two surgeons is not for the faint of heart. I was office manager for a general surgeon for five years until I retired this past March. If I had done a lovely gesture like this, he probably would have checked my hand quilting and proclaimed he could do a better job!!!!

sewnsewer2 12-30-2012 03:26 PM

Lucky Drs, they are beautiful!

OK, I googled the pattern name (Jennifer's Knot) and got nothing. Can you tell me where I can find the pattern and who makes it? I'd love to make one.

I'm sorry it is Josephine Knot - and it is from keepsake quilting - this quilt measures 94 x 116 -it was huge

labtechkty 01-01-2013 04:07 AM

Oooh..I like them both...love your color choices...I have that labyrinth pattern but haven't made it yet...

orangeroom 01-01-2013 04:15 AM

Pam,
Those are beautiful quilts. How lucky the doctors are that you care enough about them to make these for them. Now, I'm going to be nosy, what do you do? If you'd like to answer, you can pm me.

Sewfine 01-01-2013 04:25 AM

Those are some beautiful quilts. I have made quilt a few quilts and all have mistakes in them. Even the table runners and wall quilts have mistakes. It's the though that really counts at the end.

I'm a Medical Office Coordinator for the Orthopaedic Department at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. My 2 docs are hip and knee surgeons. I truly have a great job!

The Native Americans always had 1 bead out of order...that was called the "spirit bead" and was a reminder that only the Great Spirit is perfect....

piepatch 01-01-2013 06:45 AM

Those are both very pretty quilts, and I am sure were very well received. I especially like the first one, mainly because the colors are more my taste, but I really like them both. Great job!
