I did not use pattern. It's just 9 patch blocks that are cut down the middle both ways, rearranged, resewn back together. I figured out the sashing/cornerstones on my own. I used 2.5" strips for the sashing and 2.5" squares for the cornerstones. Here's a tutorial for the blocks.
Love them both especially the black and teal. Question, did you intermix your disected d9p with other blocks because it looks like your totally scrappy in that they all seem different, I think it is an awesome idea.
No, I was too impatient and wanted to see how they came out as I did them. The only fabric that was the same throughout was the center square. On the B&W, I used the black/gray in the outer corners of the 9 patch, turquoise in the center and whites in the other 4 spots. I used a different fabric for each of the 9 patches, but the same turquoise in all.
In the other one, I used blues/greens for the outer corners, dark teal for the centers, yellows/creams for the rest. Also different print for each square. I like it, but it is busier than I wanted it to be. I think the marble border improved it a lot...it gave the eyes a place to rest.

Very pretty - sashing does give it a totally different look.
