I made another Spicy Spiral Table runner for a friend of mine who recently retired. Then I bought some fabric that I want to utilize in a larger "focus" area on a quilt and thought of the beautiful french braid quilts that I've seen here. I'd never made one, so I found the instructions (free) for a table runner and decided to try it. The French Braid table runner just takes 3 fat quarters and I LOVE it. Very quick and easy. Think I'll tackle that quilt now.

Very Beautiful. I want to try and make my sisters one for Christmas, but for one sister I want to have the back side to have something to do with fishing, because her husband is a real fisher.

The Spicy Spiral can be purchased by e-mailing the designer at [email protected] (first letter in e-mail is "L") Thanks for the kind words. I'm collecting fabrics for a king-size quilt using the French Braid technique. Wish me luck...I don't have a pattern for the "extras". haha |
