2 quilts headed to great-great-grandchildren
 

I have selected 2 of my grandmother's hand pieced and hand quilted quilts to be sent to her great-great-granddaughters. A dear friend made labels for them indicating grandma's name and life span. I know they were made prior to the 1960's but don't know how to date them. Any suggestions? Please enjoy my family treasure.

Don't know how to date them, but you are right these are treasures. The quilts are super. This is awesome to have something made by your Great-Great Grandmother. WHAT A PRIVILEGE this is for them to have something that she touched. You have given them a great piece of their history. Lucky girls to receive such a treasured gift.

Some times you can get them dated by the fabric. Styles change so much over the years.

Wonderful gift!!! I have several pieced by my great grandmother but have been afraid to try to finish them!! Not sure about dating them. Your lable is beautiful!
