2 Quilts with large patterns
2 Attachment(s)
These two quilts are both made from patterns that are really great for large prints or fabrics you just don't want to cut into small pieces. These are both sandwiched and ready for FMQing. Hope to have them finished tomorrow. I forgot to mention that the Rose Trellis quilt pattern was found when I searched for 'garden trellis quilts'. The koi pattern was found on The Quilt Haus website.

What superb quilts! Did you overlay the boxes and strips on the beautiful prints?
Cleodaisy |
Just beautiful and such a nice idea.
Cleodaisy, The Koi quilt was cut into strips and sewn together, pieced at top and bottom to make them the right length. The Rose Trellis quilt was a rectangle approx 27" x 34". I made the bias and just sewed it onto the rectangle. Very easy, you could make this any size you wanted.

Love your quilts...............
i really like them good job!!!
very nicely done!
Very nice work! Both of the quilts are really beautiful. Great ideas for many of our favorite fabrics.
That is very nice.
yes very nice quilts
Since I love flowers the first one is my favorite. Did you applique the flowers at the corners or is that part of the original fabric pattern?
They are both really nice. Simple and yet elegant!
I love the second one. Along the lines of the modern quilts.
I like them both.
Both are looking great and nice, but i like the first one more and more. Because i like the flower type designs quilts. That is looking fabulous and fantastic.
both very pretty

Both are beautiful, but the first one is my favorite! Just stunning!

You are so clever! I have a couple of lovely fabrics that I have not cut into, so I can see a quilt in my future! Good job.

Two great ideas for fabric that you cannot cut.......must remember those. Well done

Can you clarify this part: I made the bias and just sewed it onto the rectangle. So is the trellis appliqued? sorry I am a little fuzzy :(
