23 years later.....

Long story... Mom died in 1992, left 4 daughters some unfinished quilt tops. Fast forward 23 years and my sis decided to get hers out and finished! I got to quilt the first one,and I'm thrilled how nicely it turned out. The pieced back adds to that home made flavor too! Mom would be proud to think it was all quilted in 3 hours! Not perfect in any way, but done with tons of love!

Tons of love you say, I can imagine how you all must have just chatted and cried. Just know that she was listening and watching. No better thoughts to have. You even made me wonder about my mom and how she liked to sew and crochet. Thanks for your memories here for us to view. Hugs, right back to you.

I'm so happy for you that you were able to finish one of your mother's quilts, what an amazing heirloom. My Mom quilted, but her quilts were utilitarian, meant to be used, and used up.
