My Amazing Daddy-in-law turned the insert from the dining table that I use as a sewing table into a drop in sewing machine insert!!!

finishing up the cut for the machine

finishing up every part of it :)

insert and machine in and plugged up!

I am so excited! I can't wait to have a chance to play with it. Everything has been busy around here so no sewing time yet. I think on of those supreme sliders is going to be a must when I get to begin practicing FMQ more.

What do you like to use for FMQ? What is your favorite way to prepare a top? What notions or gadgets are a must? Do you free-hand or mark? All help is welcome and encouraged!!!

I don't have any favorites. I am a beginner still trying to figure it out. I love your table. Thanks for sharing.

I would love that set up. I read somewhere on here that you can use a heavy clear plastic on your table instead of the supreme slider. You can buy it by the yard at walmart for about 2 dollars a yard. I bought some but never did get my table done. That's another project for me.
