Last three for today

Jacobean sampler is needle turned applique with hand and machine quilting

"Bargello Cross" was my class project at QSC retreat in 2009

"Desert Star" was made from practice strips of my ugliest fabrics. I was learning to use my Accuquilt Go. I really wish I had used the "good" stuff!

sidmona 04-04-2011 05:13 AM

Beautiful work! I especially love the appliqued one.

Toto's Mom 04-04-2011 05:14 AM

I am so struck by your Jacobean.
We have seen so many of your quilts this morning
and I thank you for the mini quilt show.
They are all out of this world.
What method did you use for your needle turn?

Sunny580 04-04-2011 05:20 AM

Great job! All are beautiful but now I can add Bargello cross to my TO DO list. Thanks for sharing.

MamaBear61 04-04-2011 05:30 AM

I used sort of a back basting technique, except I trace the design to both sides of my block with a water soluble pen. I hate using pins and I hate using the iron for template methods. I soak the blue marks out immediately after each block is made, let dry, then press. I've never had a problem with the blue marker doing it this way. Thank you for the wonderful comments.

beautiful quilts!!

Cherylsea 04-04-2011 05:43 AM

Just goes to prove that, when used with imagination, there is really no ugly fabric. I have done some of Pat Campbell's Jacobean applique and yours is truly fabulous.

emerald46 04-04-2011 06:26 AM

They are 3 absolutely gorgeous quilts!!

amma 04-04-2011 06:49 AM

Are those all batiks for the Jacobean? Wonderful colors! It is incredible. The other two are just as remarkable.
Thanks for showing!

Believe it or not, there are very few batiks in this quilt (maybe just one or two scraps). It was made completely from my scraps except for the background, border and sashing.

LETIA 04-04-2011 07:30 AM

Beautiful work! I especially love the appliqued one.

kreinhart742 04-04-2011 07:38 AM

Wow what lovely quilts

SewCraftyGirl 04-04-2011 08:02 AM

All three are wonderful. And your "ugly scraps" put together turned into a really nice quilt!

grammajojo 04-04-2011 08:17 AM

WOW! The applique is gorgeous but all are great.

dpparris 04-04-2011 08:18 AM

The "Ugly" fabric is Breathtaking.

cowgirlquilter 04-04-2011 08:20 AM

Wooooow! I think it is gorgeous!! I just bought a Baby Go machine, and will be practicing, as well......if it comes out half as good as yours, it will be well worth it!!!!!!

Candace 04-04-2011 09:36 AM

BevF 04-04-2011 09:09 PM

Beautiful work!

jitkaau 04-05-2011 03:14 AM

What does the "good" stuff look like? That must be a good way to make an ugly duckling into a swan.

peabee 04-05-2011 04:03 AM

you are one talented lady!

sharoney 04-05-2011 04:05 AM

Well, I like them all, the sampler is gorgeous, and the star is great!

Karenn 04-05-2011 04:20 AM

All 3 quilts are stunning but the Bargello Cross is absolutely gorgeous! Could you please supply the name of the book, or pattern that it came from so that those of us who want to, would be able to purchase it for our own use? Thank you.
