This pattern is called 4-patch stacked posies. Great quilt, lots of fun to put together. All the blocks are cut from the same fabric as the border.

belmer 03-22-2010 04:51 PM

Great job, love them all.

thequilterslink 03-22-2010 04:55 PM

I love love love 4 patch posies, yours are gorgeous, especially the purple one, ohhhhh my i am drooling :)

Quilter7x 03-22-2010 04:56 PM

Those are fantastic! So nice to see 3 different variations of the same pattern.

LindaM 03-22-2010 05:04 PM

Very nice! I really like using the border with the same fabric, and the sashing - especially the narrow black borders - those really show off the blocks!

Great job!
Linda

And your quote is fantabulous!

dglvr 03-22-2010 05:05 PM

quiltinggirl 03-22-2010 05:13 PM

Amazing to see how the same pattern but with three different fabric choices can produce stunning work. Awesome job!

charmpacksplus 03-22-2010 05:21 PM

Those are great! I think I might have the fabrics in the top two.

EasyPeezy 03-22-2010 05:28 PM

Beautiful. The purple and blue would be my favorite. :D

Pamela Artman 03-22-2010 05:31 PM

Thanks everyone! They were so much fun to make. I've made 9 quilts from this pattern. I'm teaching this at a guild workshop in the fall.

littlehud 03-22-2010 05:36 PM

They are fairly easy, even for a beginner. I showed my daughter, who is a beginning quilter and she has made 3 of them. I have to warn you though, the pattern is very confusing and a little hard to understand. It's so much easier when someone can sit down and show you how it's done. Where do you live?

RedGarnet222 03-23-2010 08:37 AM

How fun to see it in the three colors! I love that. Thanks so much for showing us the difference that the colors make.
My fav is the purple blue mix ... LOL! But, the green is a very close second.

Bevanger 03-23-2010 08:43 AM

sew way cool. I love them all

nlgh 03-23-2010 12:26 PM

What is the pattern?

nlgh 03-23-2010 12:29 PM

Duh, you did say what the pattern is called. I guess I mean what technique? I'm a newbie, so don't know the difference between OBWs, Kaleidoscope, and Stack and Whack.

It's not a book, just a single pattern, called "4-patch stacked posies."

It's very similar to a stack and whack, except you stack and cut strips, then squares and sew them into 4-patches.

Oklahoma Suzie 03-23-2010 12:48 PM
