3 Attachment(s)
I am a newbie, just started quilting this last year. I made these 3 quilts for my daughters. Had trouble getting the pictures to load, hoping this worked.

Beautiful. I especially like your fabric choices in the first one.

nanac 02-16-2014 07:24 AM

First 3? You'd never know that from looking. Beautiful job, both with the colors and the patterns ( although I think the second one is my personal favorite).

LuvNmyLabs 02-16-2014 07:29 AM

Thank You so much, I have become a fabric hoarder and have so many I want to do this year, just loving it. =)
1st one is American Beauty pattern by Marti Michell
2nd is Dave's Triple Irish Chain

Fantastic! Can't wait to see more of your work.

LuvNmyLabs 02-16-2014 07:52 AM

I took a class for the first one from a local long arm quilter. She taught me so much that I felt comfortable to move to the other quilts. The Triple Irish Chain was a bit overwhelming at first with all of the cutting and is a King 110" x 110". The other two were Queens. My daughters were thrilled.

Yes, I did purchase the templates for the patterns, absolutely love them, no dog ears to trim. Thank You for your kind comments. This board is absolutely wonderful, have followed a couple of years. I have another quilt posted titled "Quilt of Valor" that I did last Spring, loved how it turned out.

A real natural at this art by what I can see. I can tell you were no stranger to a sewing machine. I love the quilts you made and I am sure your family does too. Beautiful quilts.

bigsister63 02-16-2014 10:53 AM

Did you get the American Rose pattern as a kit or the pattern seperately? I checked her site and did not see it by itself. Thanks!!!

crafty pat 02-16-2014 11:08 AM

You are doing very good work. They are all beautiful and deserve being proud of.

I purchased the pattern thru our local long arm quilter and took the class from her. I purchased the fabrics separately, they are now getting hard to fine. All made by Maywood.

Gannyrosie 02-16-2014 05:25 PM

okay, you may be a newbie to quilt making, but by these quilts you are not a newbie to sewing. Right? If you are new to sewing and quilting you've found your calling. All 3 are absolutely beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
