#4 of 3013 mission to use scraps

2 Attachment(s)
Top #4 completed. Just string blocks. It is 70 x 93. Pic is not real good due to light coming in my windows. Cant see bottom border too much as it is lying on the floor but you get the idea. My scrap bins do not appear to have been depleted any, so on to #5. Also a pic of U of Alabama wallhanging I have been working on, added a few more of the applique pieces so the elephant is all done. Now deciding on borders for it. Will probably go to a son who is a fan.

This looks almost like stained glass, especially with the blue fabric around each square.

Very striking Thelma, with the quilt top in front of the window, it almost looks a a stained glass, or like it has a small black grout, maybe an idea for your next scrappy top. I LIKE it !!! Thanks for posting.

LOL, exactly what I was thinking. But I probably do have enough scraps for that long.

I love, love, love your quilt. That spotted fabric in the sashing is just perfect. What a wonderful selection.

That quilt is beautiful. I just finished my first quilt. I started after retirement and I can't imagine making a quilt like that. I am working on a Candy Store scrappy quilt now. Thanks for sharing your pictures.

Very stunning. I like the use of the blue fabric which creates a cross-hatching.

Nanaof4 02-15-2013 06:13 AM
