What a beautiful little girl and a wonderful quilt. Never too early to get children sewing. Unless there will be some way to connect sewing to video games, sewing will be a lost art.

the 2 of you did quality work. Keep teaching her!!!

I need one of those...LOL the quilt and the GD. I have a few scrapes!!

Awww! That GD is sweet looking! The dolly quilt is going to get some use, I'll bet on that! Love the "sewing table." That's just such a cute picture. you sure made some great memories with that project. :-)

She has a good eye! She is precious and I love the picture of her sitting in your lap sewing. Your a lucky Gram.

A new quilter is born!!! She will cherish the time spent even more than the quilt ... love it! Tell her that there are alot of grownps that do not finish their quilts..!

YES! Get them hooked into being creative at an early age. She DID indeed do a nice job in her choices.

Look at the Pride in that beautiful little girl's eyes! Wonderful job to the young quilter & to Grandma for taking the time to share your craft with your granddaughter. Making memories that'll last a lifetime! :)

I have an almost 4 yo (official on October 17). She comes in when I'm sewing and scrunches in between my little table at a right angle to my machine, or scrunches on the other side by the ironing board and just watches! She's done that since she's been 2..have to keep reminding her "don't touch, you'll get owies" (either from pins or the iron). She always asks if I'm making her a "kilt". Maybe will have to start her out!! Certainly can't let her little sister in the sewing room (she's 18 mos). She is a whirling dervish wherever she goes!! I think LeeAnn (the 4 yo) is going to be my little sewing buddy!!

Yah!! She did a great job.
|
Beautiful 1st quilt and granddaughter. They are so much fun to start a life of quilting with.
|
I'd say she has a pretty good sense of color, as those were great fabric choices. She looks so proud and she should be. I once had the profound pleasure of helping a 6 year old make a doll quilt, it was so much fun and she was so proud. I can't wait to see if our DGD who just turned 3, might be interested in quilting - she does like the quilts I make her. I really hope she likes the twin size quilt I finished piecing just before my shoulder surgery in May -now I'm waiting for my shoulder to heal enough so that I can quilt it before Christmas. Wish me luck. I'm so glad you had that wonderful experience to share, you both look very intense about what you were doing. Love it.

She has a good eye for color and did a great job on her quilt, She will be an expert by the time she is 10

What a cutie! She did a great job.
|
Great first quilt! She is precious and it is wonderful that she is starting quilting so young!
|
Another quilter in the making. Well done to both of you.
|
Both the quilt and your DGD are so very cute. Keep her interested and she'll go far!
|
What a cutie!! It is so nice of you to take the time to teach her. I bet she would love to make her own pillowcase with maybe a fairy fabric or frogs or cats. They are real easy to do and fast to complete.
|
How cute is she and her little quilt!
