5 year UFO Bargello

I had over-quilted this Bargello (I had never quilted a 1" finished strip before) so the not quilted border was very wavy so I wasn't sure how to quilt the border. A few weeks ago, I decided to crosshatch the border. So here is is, another UFO finished. YIPPEE :)

Very pretty!!! Love the colors and it looks like the cross hatching tamed the border. Looks like it lies perfectly.

Very beautiful Bargello!
|
Can you tell me how over quilting causes wavey boarders? Thanks
|
Beautiful bargello and love the colors and quilting.
|
That's very pretty!
It looks hard. What do you guys do when you make those? Do you sew a bunch of strips together, cut them and assemble, staggering each strip? |
Beautiful colors. Exotic and wonderful design.
|
nice colour combo

Glad you finished this beauty. It would have been a shame to leave it folded and waiting for a finish.

That is gorgeous. Isn't it amazing what treasures some of us have tucked away in our closets unfinished!!! I've got quite a few that I'm hoping to finish up this year.

Love your quilt. The choice of colors and fabrics are great!

I had to laugh at myself (not to myself) when I read your 5 yr unfinished Bargello. When I start a Bargello I become obsessed with working it from early morn. til bedtime. It's such a challenge it's all I can think about.
I now have the pattern for Long and Winding Road you guided me to & I actually started putting strips together in my sleep last night. I don't even have my fabrics yet. Now that is crazy, huh Pat |
Love colors you chose! Great job.
|
Beautiful. Well done for finishing it. You must feel very proud. Love the colours.

|
Your quilt is absolutely beautiful. It may have taken you a while to finish but as the saying goes "good things are worth waiting for".
