7" Drunkard's path

1 Attachment(s)
This is the 7" Drunkard's Path quilt that I made for my Principal who is taking another job July 1st. It has been a rough year for us, and he was pulled in so many different directions all school year....he truly was on a Drunkard's Path. I though the pattern was fitting! The colors are actually dark green, burgundy and brown. with tan/beige backgrounds. My good friend Gagasmith allowed me to use her new HQ Avante long arm to stipple on it.

That is such a fitting gift! And nicely done, too. Being a teacher has its challenges but I can only imagine the pressures a principal has, today. We've had three principals in seven years. Back to your quilt, this was very thoughtful of you and sure to be appreciated.

With curves that small, I might be the drunkard after finishing it.

They are actually 7 inch blocks instead of the traditional 3 or 4 in blocks!

Great quilt.....love your color choices...

Cut with template or die cutter? Those who are afraid of curves.....just do it....not hard after first one/two, but must not sew fast...easy dies it.....I'm working on a scrap apple core, cut with GO die....no trouble with strategically placed pin here and there...

Jingle 06-24-2015 04:56 AM

Very pretty, I would not want to deal with curves. Call me a chicken.

Template from Elza's Backporch. The 7 inch is much easier to work with than the 3" and 4" ones. The quilt works up very quickly.

What a wonderful gift. This quilt will be treasured for a long time.
