Wonderful little quilts. My guild gives 1000 little quilts to Head Start every year and although I have never seen them given to the children I know they are loved and appreciated. Your a very giving person. God bless you.

From one PL blanketeer to another PL blanketeer........thank you for your kindness. We both know that helping kids who have been traumatized or seriously ill is desperately needed. Project Linus quilts gives them that small assurance when all else is going wrong in their lives. Loved your fabric prints and, by the way, what a great doll crib you have them displayed. Take care and happy stitching my fellow quilter.

lfstamper 08-12-2012 04:06 PM

Thank you for posting. 5 of these are alphabet and nursery rhyme book panels made onto quilts. I loved the colors, had given one as a gift and new momma uses it hard! After all the pieced quilts i have made, it came down to the fun drawings and colors of the panels. She said it can be stain resistant and washes like a dream . Who knew. The cradle my children used, a few grandchildren ..it was 100 years in the family for the grandchildren . Thanks so much for posting! Appreciate the note.

I had posted earlier when there were 5. I can't post photo today. Two others are alphabet soup and nursary rhyme books made to same size.
Sizes are 45 x38. All but the incubator cover ducky square 32 inch. They were fun! Two of my own squarea, triangles and ducky 10 min. Block. Thank you all for the posts.

Wow!! I'd have loved to see them opened up!!Great project!! Great job!

Where else beside head start can you give quilts to? I have made about 20 little receiving blankets, they are cotton on one side, and flannel on the back, 1 yard of each, NO batting I sew these inside out and before I sew them together, I place different colors, and textured ribbon around the edges then sew all around (leave a 6" opening or so to turn inside out) and I have a tabby blanket. I then tie them. They are quick and make a wonderful little extra in a baby gift. I would like to donate some but not real sure where to do this, any ideas would be great! I get my fabric from Thousand Bolts Only One Nut ! site so each cost approx. $11.00 - $12.00
