Well I am done with the cousins quilts. Just have to throw this one in the wash, check for any pulled seams and threads hanging. The fishing trip in in2 1/2 wks. My problem now is I want to wrap kind of rustic. Any ideas. I got baler twine from a friend of mine for the ribbons.
ready for washer, has solid yellow backing |
Awesome!

How about unbleached butcher paper and wrap with the twine.
|
I use brown paper bags for my brothers and tied with butchers string.

Your points are on point...great job!

Here's what I did to "wrap" a recently completed quilt. I should have cut my piece of sisal much longer and wrapped it around all the sides, not just around the two sides. :?
They had sunflowers at their wedding so I put a bouquet of sunflowers beneath the sisal used to tie it. I folded the quilt so the backing was on the outside because I didn't want them to see the sunflowers on the front of the quilt. |
How about Newpaper and twine?

Unbleached muslin

Wrap the quilts in the comic section of newspaper.

I would take a tip from The Sound of Music......brown paper packages tied up with strings. It's sure to be their favorite thing!
|
What a fantastic old-fashioned looking quilt! My favorite kind!

How about a burlap bag for wrapping? Beautiful quilt!
|
Love your quilt-very pretty.

Beautiful scrappy quilt! I vote for the brown bag wrap. You could open grocery bags and sew a few together to make a large enough wrap. A large zig zag stitch with red thread would be rustic looking.
