Isn't it some type of lily blocks? "North Carolina Lily" maybe? I sure do like this quilt, don't you? And I'm so glad it's in a home where it can be loved & appreciated!

Susanb, no My husband and I quilted it on longarm with design board. I know it should have been handquilted, but I'm 83 and DH is 85. It was all we could do. I have another one older than this that my Mothers sister made and she was killed in a 1925 tornado, so I know it is a little older. I am going to handquilt it! PS Susan I'm sorry, YES it was handpieced.
