Finished this over the weekend, for my older daughter. She's 10.... We are redoing her room and I wanted to make her a "Young Lady's" quilt.
Twin size with hand-quilted dog bones and puppy paws, in honor of our puppy, Hazel! Hand Quilting of Dog Bones and Puppy Paws Crazy Quilt Close up of Crazy Block |
That's really pretty!!
What a darling quilt for a young lady! |
Very pretty. Nice job.

Pretty, please, share how did you quilt it? how does one quilt such a large item on a small machine?
Love to be able to do this. Your colores are very pretty ! ^5 .. nice job ! |
Very pretty!! Your daughter will love it.

Thank you Ninnie, Pam and pocoellie!
Ellen Thanks for asking, I drew the dog paws and bones and then cut them out (anything stiff, like cardboard, template plastic, ets.). With a pencil, I traced directly onto the quilt, while the quilt was wound on the frame. LOL! I wish my quilting frame were small... The 3 poles on which I roll the backing, top and batting are just shy of 80" length. It stands about 5 feet high (standing on cinderblocks). Definitely the centerpiece of the family room! With patience and a lot of basting, you can definitely do this without a quilting rack. |
Your daughter is sooooooo lucky. Hope she takes an interest in quilting - you did a great job quilting. Post a pic of it on her bed.

Very nice.

Thank you Quilt4U!
Quilter Girl Thanks! I am glad you like it... she loves it but not interested in learning. She is more into electronics and the such. I'd love to take a pic of it on her bed, but her walls are so horrible. We are in the process of ripping off old wall paper and is 1/2 done.... VERY OLD PAPER and very ugly. Red white and blue and clashes with her new colors. |
Thank u mum
why u call it crazy .............. its wise |
