Aaron's Quilt

1 Attachment(s)
This is the first real sewing I've done since my brother passed away. I finished a king sized quilt for my bachelor nephew, who is a terrific young man who came by and helped me out with a few things here. This is my way of doing a little pay back. :)

Teal, especially a greenish teal, is one of my favorite color tones. Love your Quilt!!!!

Some questions.

How big are your logs?
Did you use a specific log cabin pattern? Name?
What size did the quilt end up being?

Thanks!
Barb

This is indeed another "jewel by Jean" quilt. My heart sings just to think you are so creative and so generous with your talent. I know Aaron will love this quilt as much as you loved making it for him. You are a couple of sweet people and I am glad to have you in my life. Keep up the good work and know you are loved.

It ended up 120" x 126" That's about the biggest quilt my longarm can handle. The pattern is my own, so there is no name except the one I gave it, which is "Aaron's Quilt", but it's sort of based on half log cabin type blocks I guess, which are placed on-point. I used 2" strips for those, and made 12" blocks.

And, apparently the photo is misleading... the color is not at all teal. It's all in regular blues, from one fabric line. Soft blue to indigo prints for the logs, with a silver gray background.
