Abbey's Flutterby - D4P

Hello from KY!! I finally finished this D4P for one of my Granddaughters, Abbey. I had posted a picture of the flimsy months ago but just now got the handwork done and she is coming to get it tomorrow. I am so excited! Thanks to everyone on this board who keep me inspired.

IT's beautiful!!!! Abby will be able to enjoy it for many years to com. Did you use the regular 9 patch? or an irregular?? I would like to make one for my bed(minus flying pet, hubby not use to sleeping with pets) Your d9p somehow appears different than the other d9p. Tinker

Love our quilt for abby. In my mind's eye, I can imagine where the inspiration came from for it. I have been to Kentucky and seen all the green grass. Beautiful state.

That is beautiful, and in my daughter's favorite color too. Glad she doesn't belong to this board, lol. Is there now going to be another one for another granddaughter.

I, too, love the addition of the accent stitches in the sashing and around the flutterby. It really gives it a special touch.

I just love the big butterflies. They pull you tight into that quilt and then you take your time to look around at the use of color and I love it. Thank you for sharing the matching pillow shams are awesome!
