Yes, I mentioned how I did the thread. What I didn't say is that I cut the template shaggy too. I tried as much as possible to follow the original drawing, and so that helps in addition to the thread work.

Yes, well, the Alzheimer's Art Quilt Initiative insists on it. I've had no problem getting permission from artists to use their original designs. With the exception of one person, everyone I've asked has said yes, and they generally respond pretty quickly. It's really not that difficult to seek permission, and it gives me peace of mind knowing that what I'm doing is legal. I don't want to step on any toes, and I certainly don't want to get sued!
