The pieced border is perfect for the quilt.

gertz 05-23-2010 03:59 PM

Love the quilt and border. I am an earth tone person. I vote for the brown for the last border.

tcnmom 05-23-2010 06:21 PM

Beautiful quilt! I love your border and would make the last border brown to match your pieced border.

PurpleBecca 05-23-2010 06:56 PM

Fabulous!

Halo 05-23-2010 06:58 PM

WOW! It is totally beautiful. I think a brown border & then a narrower burgandy border would really look fantastic.

Marsye, I'm glad you are back to your usual self. You looked 'under the weather' for awhile. Take Care. Eiltcoq.

eiltcoq 05-23-2010 08:23 PM

franie, I love the quilt. Is the pattern available on any of the websites. I agree with alot of the ladies about adding a brown border. It's a beautiful quilt. Eiltcoq.

Great quilt !!! I like the pieced border . If it will be a wallhanging then I would add a brown border, if it goes on a bed I would add a brighter colore...maybe the yellow ?

gramquilter2 05-24-2010 06:40 AM

OMG That quilt is BEAUTIFUL !!!! And the pieced border just sets it off !!!

mygirl66 05-25-2010 04:58 AM

I love the pieced boarder! What an awesome job!

brushandthimble 05-25-2010 05:09 AM

love it love it, and love love the border.
the print fabric that is in the pieced border, looks like it is the previous border also. Do you enough to make it the last border? Maybe the same size as the other solid border.
Can't wait to see it with all the borders attached.
Is there a pattern for the pieced border you are doing?

zz-pd 05-25-2010 05:41 PM

I love it, thank you for sharing. God bless. Penny

This is called beading in the border book I have but actually it is just a Seminole border--google that--I am sure you will find it. There is math involved to get a pieced border to come up to the right size.

kwiltkrazy 05-25-2010 08:54 PM

WOW! You picked the perfect border for your quilt. Can't find the right words to say how great that quilt is. I have always wanted to try a sampler. Absolutely love yours.

azam 05-25-2010 09:09 PM

Love your peiced border, adds pizzzaaaz!

spooky 05-27-2010 01:53 PM

Nice sampler quilt and love the borders. :-)

hcarpanini 05-29-2010 05:17 PM

Wow! That is beautiful. I would probably put a small plain border on the edge to give your eye a place to rest. Be sure to show when it is finished.

dkabasketlady 05-31-2010 08:27 AM

Your quilt is absolutely amazing & the Seminole border is too!! I can't wait to see the finished pics, everyone has given you some great advice on how to finish the other borders.

jdavis 06-01-2010 09:31 AM
