Advancement - learning - doubt!

Hello! How are you? I hope that very well!
Here I'm learning enough about quilting! As I did not receive ideas this time about how to solve my new tops (http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...a-t211284.html), I turned to my intuition. And I think that so far I was not so bad ... for now! Show them some pictures of the front top and several others on the back! Forgiveness by the threads, but I don't even cut them or hid! It was quite difficult with so little space a large quilt (the largest I did until now). But my machine has bravely endured my attacks! Hahahaha! I learned to make an echo with free motion in each application, I learned to make "pebbles" (the bad thing is that they were very small!), and an echo with straight stitch that was very cute to highlight the star. And now I'm sitting watching it and deciding if I stuffed all the negative space with 'something' (not yet decided as) ... or if I leave it so: clean! I'm willing to listen to offers of trips if someone wants to say! It's time to lunch! Have a beautiful day! A big hug! |
Just beautiful, great job and thank you for sharing.

|
Beautiful job.

Hi Gladys, that is absolutely beautiful. You are so talented and do such wonderful work.
|
Your work is beautiful. I like the way you stippled behind the manger scene (yellow area) and I would fill in space behind 3 wise men the same way. Also, if there are any other yellow backgrounds in the rest of the quilt, I would treat them in the same way. This way you would have consistency throughout.
|
I LOVE your work! Such beautiful craftsmanship! I always look forward to seeing your posts! Thank you so much for sharing and inspiring!

Thank you very much! I loved your advice! But the fabric behind the Magi is different it is brown clear, the Manger is the only yellow and I wanted also to that area that would be different. This top is 2009 when I did not know that the colors of the blocks had to be combined! Lol! : ( But well, yet not I decide as filling the rest of the funds of the appliqué, because to the edge I want to try a pen! Heart's really thank you for teaching me how to make! A big hug! |

The original pattern is "Joy to the World" by Art to Heart. It was amended in its entirety by a Spanish quiltera and by me. A hug! |
You did a wonderful job!! Well done!
|
Thank you very much, Sue!

I think you did a great job. Thanks for sharing.

The only time you HAVE to fill the piece with quilting is if its going into a show.
Personally I like the contrast between heavily quilted areas and not. But only it there are no wrinkles or gathers from the heavy quilting. MaryKatherine |
Beautiful! Keep up the good work.
|
Beautiful quilt
|
The quilt is darling
|
Beautiful as it is.
|
Lovely, lovely quilt! Thanks for sharing your eye candy with me.
In answer to your questions, if it were mine, I would add some quilting around the 3 wise men and the red border around the outside as well. |
wow.. great job ... I didn't realize how tight your quilting space was until I saw the pic with the machine. keep up the great work
|

Once again you have created a masterpiece. I think you finish it off and enjoy. No stuffing or whatnot. Just let the lovely design and colors speak for themselves.
