Your quilt is beautiful, as is standard for your work! Congradulations on the new machine! May you have many happy years together.

Hello! I hope everyone is well!
I am very happy! I'm working on my MUF 7°: "Sewing Baskets". I was able to finish this top which was the 2009-2010.
And meanwhile, my birthday present came forward and became my new friend and companion of Adventures: A Janome Memorie Craft 7700 QCP Horizon!!!
It's beautiful! Called her "Lady in Red"! I love the Red!
I started to do the quilting marks, and came up with an idea they share.
A half heart template, I did some horizontal marks where I "saw" an arc. Those marks served me to always make the template always in the same place on the canvas. Then I followed the lines with a temporary marker, and appeared "arcs" that I wanted to do in the 9-Patch!
Hope you like this simple tip!
I have a lot of work ahead! Have a nice week!
A big hug!

Hi, can you share with us exactly how you stitched this out? I'm assuming you did some travel stitching?? Is it possible for you to post this pic with directional lines (arrows) on it to show how you traveled across the 9 - patch? It's beautiful and I need to learn how to do stuff like this as I have a 7700 too and she is way under-utilized.

your little half heart template is great....but rather than spend time doing all that marking, just go from corner to corner with a little "swoop" inbetween" and and you have done what handquilters called the wineglass (at least that is what I have been told).......you can do a whole bunch of these connected squares.....go across one, down and around to next block, across, down and around, when you get to end.....just swoop the bottoms and edge to where you began. There are places, I am sure on the web that will describe this "trip" better than I just did, but saves a lot of time ......have fun with your new "red"
