And Kathy, yes, I thought the waterlillies looked a bit moth eaten until I added the extra petals. More work, but I like it better.

I really do like the way you did this block, so much better than the original IMHO, may have to do a copy cat on that one.

It has been so fun to the the blocks. The are all so gorgeous

Here is mine...finished....FINALLY! I think this one took me about 14 hours. I know...thats disgustingly slow! Anyway..its a 7"..so the petals and leaves are really skinny. I added the extra petals and only did the center in 2 pieces(via Lesely).. but I had forgotten about that bit of embroidery in the center lily pad...and it desparately needs it! I'll go back and do that before I put the block away. I'm not happy with it....but it will go into the "boy, did I ever get some much needed practice on points on that one!" area of the quilt. LOL!
