WOW, WOW, WOW!!! I LOVE it so much!!!!! That's simply stunning, no kidding. I love the orange and what it does to our blocks. I decided to try orange & purple together & really like that combination. They really seem to compliment each other.

Love how batiks look when appliqued! Just need to take that leap and do some. :-)

It's that Aie - never in a million years would I have thought to combine pinks, purples and orange until I started this quilt! Now I am beginning to think that you could throw the kitchen sink at it and it would still look good.

I agree...so why am I struggling so with picking my fabrics???? geesh!!!

Perhaps its because we have always done 'conventional' quilts up to now.

I went back to the lily block and have been plodding along on that one for some time, just picking it up and quickly putting it down again after a few pieces being sewn on. I am getting there though. This was one to be done just slowly and it took patience.

This one is lovely Elle! I love that blue. I have mine all cut out and had to pull it and hold it beside yours on my monitor. I'm not sure it will be quite as pretty as yours! I can't wait to see the embroidery on yours..will you be using different colors of that yummy thread on them all or are you going with one color?

Thats my fav fabric. Its like electric blue.

OK, got mine done last night. I added a bit more of the embroidery to encircle the entire big heart. That was bothering me when I didn't do it this way on the first one. Had to go back. This one did go quicker than I thought when I first cut it out. I must be getting quicker at those little teeny pieces :lol:
