Thimblebug, I cut out a Spicy Spiral yest. & nothing came out right. I measured & cut, remeasured & counted yet I came up short of strips. I came up short on the subcuts. It was such a disaster but I have to face it again today & try to figure out where I obviously messed up. Very frustrated since I've never had a pattern defeat me til now.

The one thing to remember is the measurements on the ruler are not inches. If you follow exactly what she shows it does work. But once you work your way across you have to go to the other side of the strata to continue cutting. That's why it's good to have your cutting mat on a table you can walk around.
Here's what it looks like after the cuts are made.

Just google Spicy Spiral Table runner pattern and lots of shops carry them. I bought mine a few years back.

Great looking runners! It looks like one of the spirals is longer than the other 3. How did you make it longer?

Hi there, they are all the same size, it's just the angle I took the picture. It's hard to get them all in perspective without being a fly on the ceiling :D

Thanks so much for the pix. I knew about watching the ruler & I studied the pattern closely as I went so I have no idea where I messed up. I had to turn my cutting mat since my table is against a wall in a corner. I'm headed back upstairs now to see if I can see my mistake & salvage my work so far. Thanks so much for your help.

Love your colors! Taught a class last year for Christmas ones. Now I have to go and make some like yours.
I have also used the ruler to make a jacket-wild in oranges and rust. Love it.
