Did you do this as a QAYG? Quilting each block individually, then joining them? It looks terrific!!

Beautiful work! I really want to learn how to do free motion quilting but I am not sure where to start. Can you tell me what kind of sewing machine you have?

I would be delighted to tell you that I have 40 sewing machines....many vintage, several computerized, etc. For my money, you cannot beat the FMQ results on a vintage machine. I quilted this entire quilt on an ancient Viking. I love my longarm, but for smaller and more detailed work, I just adore the vintage machines. My Singer 201 and 15-91 are others that I just love for this kind of work. You absolutely DO NOT NEED an expensive machine to do this kind of work!

so very very cool !! how did you figure out your tension so the back is tight? my front comes out great.. lately.. but my tension must be off... wonderful !! congratulations !

Wow 40 machines............. you must have one BIG quilting room............... oh any by the way l love your quilt and the quilting is great.......... I should be so lucky as to have 40 machines and be able to do such lovely quilting.... great job on both the quilt and the quilting............ can we see pictures of you machines???? I own a lonely 5 machines.
