The body is done!! I like this one, it's so bright and cheerful, and it came together very well. The border fabric is in the dryer and if all goes well it should be done this weekend.

Beautiful work Pam!!!
Pam looks even better than it did when you were in the planning stages. I love it!!!
I will be quilting it myself. I got a cross hatch stencil and long arm ruler for it. I plan on doing cross hatch in the center applique block how it would likely be done in an older quilt with hand quilting. I'm still thinking about the rest of the quilting.
I joined the Sharon Schamber Network and I've been watching tons of LA quilting videos. I need to move my laptop to my long arm and work along with the tutorials. I also ordered several of her templates with different feather types. I'm about to put the first border side on. I've figured out where the center needs to be in the motif so that the mitered corners meet at the same point. |
Fantastic quilt. The colors are delicious.
Very pretty!!! :D:D:D
Wow! It's stunning! How proud you must be to see your creation come to life! Makes me really want to sit down and start playing with my eq6!!
More pictures if you please! Loving watching this come together! |
Love it.
It really is satisfying to have an idea and see it come to life, become something real.
I'm about to sew the second border side on. Normally I would sew two opposite sides, then the other two. Because of how the scallop design in the fabric needs to line up, I want to get one of the corners done and see it before I sew the other sides on so I sewed the top and one side on. If I need to adjust it I can do that before doing the other sides. |
What an adorable quilt. You did a very nice job on it.
wow pam- you could design quilts for a living!
