Isn't it funny how the simplest designs make such stunning quilts? Beautiful.

Silver Sandy 01-12-2011 05:59 PM

I love the pattern. I need to make a quilt for my granddaughter and she has requested pinks, greens and some cream. This would be perfect. What is the pattern? You can PM me if you would like.

Thanks in advance

It's not sewed together yet. I always take a picture before piecing so that I can catch make mistakes before hand.

smart lady - I like the layout you've chosen

cmapco837 01-12-2011 06:12 PM

ok what kind of template is that? How many yards of material do you use if you was making a queen size?

I'm sorry there is no pattern. I made this up as I went along.

The templet is a 6 1/2 inch acrylic (sp?) templet. Honestly I have no idea how much would be needed for a queen.

dreamer2009 01-12-2011 06:23 PM

lovin it :)

cjomomma 01-12-2011 06:24 PM

Thank you everyone for the wonderful compliments. I am so happy that my quilt has been so well received by all of you.

definately a "girly" quilt. My gd would absolutely fall in love with it. She thinks the only color to make anything is pink. (she is 3)

How long are your strips?? Isn't there a lot of waste?

My strips were the width of fabric. There is little waste for me because I use all the left overs for scrappies. By the time I throw my left overs away they are less than a 1/2in in size.

I should have guessed that you used everything.

I think this is the nicest combination that you have presented of these blocks. Your plans for the borders sound good as well. Breaking up the stripes with the pink and cream blocks was a good idea.

Friendly Quilter 01-12-2011 07:31 PM

It is going to be beautiful.

Calico Grammy 01-12-2011 07:33 PM
