I will be the first to admit, I don't do sewing on the diagonal, I am a straight stitcher.....however I loved this Quiltville pattern and decided to give it a try. It wasn't as horid as I thought it was going to be.

I am still going to add borders.......maybe

lovely!

ssnare 04-23-2011 12:00 PM

I like it. But it does look difficult to do. Nice job.

MamaBear61 04-23-2011 12:01 PM

Well done

erstan947 04-23-2011 12:01 PM

Love your quilt. Scrappy and white are the best!:)

CAgirl1 04-23-2011 12:02 PM

You are doing an amazing job so far. Definitely looks like a challenge.

Lv2sew2011 04-23-2011 12:02 PM

Awesome job!

bjnicholson 04-23-2011 12:05 PM

Are you sure it's not as hard as you thought? I looks very complicated to me, but you've done a beautiful job on it! Love your color choices with the white

dixiebelle162002 04-23-2011 12:05 PM

Nicely done!!

Is it all men's shirts? and with significance?

BeeNana 04-23-2011 12:12 PM

You sure did a knock out job on this one.
It is so awesome.

grammiepamie 04-23-2011 12:24 PM

I love it too. Pam

dhanke 04-23-2011 12:29 PM

it's surprising what you can do with lots of squares and even more diagonal seams, by the time you finished all of these up I'll bet you were a lot more comfortable with the technique, am I right? Your top looks great, add a border or two to make those little slanted stars sparkle!

It is all men's shirts, however they have no significance....I bought them at the thrift store, I'm divorced so no man to snatch from lol....

Thanks

SueDor 04-23-2011 12:40 PM

Very nice!

yetta 04-23-2011 12:41 PM

just beautiful

jdiane318 04-23-2011 12:53 PM

Isn't Quiltville.com just one of the best sites to go to and just look? I would find a nice brick red to use for your border.

jdiane318 04-23-2011 12:55 PM

Double post, but I love your quilt.

Tink74 04-23-2011 01:02 PM

I bookmarked your quilt...I love it!!! I have my Mom saving my Dad's old work shirts instead of letting him do house work in them when they are worn...someday this quilt pattern will be perfect for them. Very nice work!!

quiltsRfun 04-23-2011 01:09 PM

Beautiful! I've always like that pattern but haven't done one yet. I think it will be pretty with or without borders.

Unique Creations 04-23-2011 01:15 PM

Very nice, and I think it needs a border. IMHO

Fabaddict 04-23-2011 01:17 PM

I love Bonnies patterns and use them often. Yours came out beautiful.

ha!!!

I keep smiling at all these shirt quilts ....... by the time my husband finished wearing his shirts, you sure didn't want a quilt made of them! :0)

Tartan 04-23-2011 06:22 PM

I love Bonnie Hunter's Quiltville tutorials! You did an excellent job on your beautiful top!

wvdek 04-23-2011 06:28 PM

What a great scrappy. Please show a pic when you have it completed. Have you decided on border colors?

JCL in FL 04-24-2011 04:14 AM

I made one too. Aren't they fun to make and go together so quickly. Bonnie makes her patterns user friendly. Your quilt is really nice.

Rainy Day 04-24-2011 04:15 AM

Evelynquilts 04-24-2011 04:20 AM

I made that pattern for my 2 sons...they loved it... :-)

trolleystation 04-24-2011 04:28 AM

I love this 'wanderng stars' pattern and use it often. Looks scary, but not really that bad. I love your color choices.

Love it, and you really need border/borders. I would like longer but it's not mine , it's YOURS.

AnneT 04-24-2011 05:30 AM

LOVE scrappy with white, you did great! Please make sure to show the finished work.

eiltcoq 04-24-2011 05:41 AM
