still need to go over and fix some little boo boo's. I wanted to put a large border, but my daughter said it was big enough for her wall.

quiltingcandy 12-16-2014 08:40 PM

OMG that is absolutely beautiful!

Pinkiris 12-16-2014 09:18 PM

How long did it take you to make that? It's a real work of art!
I'm with your daughter--a large border would detract from the flowers, in my opinion.

Tartan 12-16-2014 09:40 PM

That is really pretty and a lot of work. Could we have the name of the Pattern and designer? Is it hand or machine applique? Oh no! Another for my bucket list.

GingerK 12-17-2014 04:30 AM

I admire your patience and your ability and your colour choices and well, everything about this hanging! It must have taken you forever! Fantastic!

stitchingcrazy 12-17-2014 04:31 AM

Truly remarkable piece of work. Congratulations on a wonderful quilt. Such a lot of work. In my opinion, I would just bind it as is in a plain complimentary colour , thus focusing the emphasis on the centre. Good luck.

DianneK 12-17-2014 05:32 AM

It's gorgeous! If she's ok with no border then so be it. If you want to add a border make another one for yourself. :)

Barb, I didn't really have a pattern. I have the EQ5 that I pulled some of the pictures off of. I took them to office depot and had them enlarged to fit my 12 inch blocks , center is 24 inches . I used a tricot for back of the appliqué, I only had white trico, wished I had some black. The materials were from Marshall's Dry Goods. Good material for cheap prices. I put them on my design wall and arranged them. It took about 4 months. Because I didn't work on it all the time .
