Here are some pictures of my "personal masterpiece" quilt called Amber. The size is 78 x 78 " and it is hand quilted. To finish it I needed about 1000 hours and 2000 meters of hand quilting thread.
The quilt found it's place at a wall in our house and I love to touch the fine structures! |

oh my gosh....I honestly don't even know what to say...that is just incredibly beautiful! I can't believe it was done by human hands! It's truely a masterpiece!

I finished the quilt in 2000, so it is 10 years old now - too old for entering in show! Normally they only accept quilts of the last 3 or 4 years. |
Amber is stunning - a true labour of love. Is it your design too? I love the background design, such a nice change from a plain grid.

OMG, Amber is beautiful. I will never have the patience to do something like that. I might get a very small wall hanging hand quilted someday or a table runner. I do want to try hand quilting though. Seems like it would be so relaxing.
