American quilter Magazine quilt

3 Attachment(s)
The latest American Quilter Magazine, Sept.2016, Has a quilt I just had to try. It is named

Square Dance by Krystal Jakelwicz, Pg 32

It is a basic churn and dash quilt with corner stars in the sashing. Her technique makes the block with a pinwheel in the center without making any HSTs.

I used her technique but changed the design to be on point and it created a bit of a different border. It was so much fun to make. Thanks for looking.

A beautiful quilt and OMG are you FAST. Love the new take on the tried and true. Looks like PA has had a lot of rain too with lots of lush green foliage and grass. Our grass has never been greener in August.

Is this the disappearing pinwheel block? My MIL was just showing me that magazine and we are anxious to try the pattern. Your quilt turned out great!

It is not called that in the magazine and I don't know what you are referring to. I saw the technique and tried it. I will look up DPB and see if that is what it is, thanks for the info. I love to research stuff like this.

I looked it and yes it is except for the direction the pieces were turned in the tutorial. Wow! Thanks again.
