This seems to be a popular pattern here..here's another one! I was asked to make this by a relative to give as a wedding gift.

It was made from the Spumoni bali pops but I took out some of the orange/rust tones and substituted the raspberry/pink tones. The backing is a flannel batik. It's quilted with variegated thread.

I'm going to have a hard time parting with it, it looks beautiful on my couch!

really nice color combo. They'll love it. I do! The raspberry substitution makes it.

Very pretty, and yes it does look good on your couch. Let them know in case they do not like it!

crkathleen 06-16-2010 07:07 AM

That is very beautiful! The color combos gorgeous! I would have a hard time parting with it also!!! I didn't know they made a flannel batik!

Oh, it's GORGEOUS!!!!! I remember the Cappucino one. This is just as wonderful, if not better. What terrific color placement. I have already saved the picture. Another wonderful job. You have truly outdone yourself. It WILL be tough to give away. Guess you will have to make another one for you.

Take a bow!

So do I. I am always thinking how I can let the fabric be the main focus. Isn't it just scrumptious?? Good enough to eat!

craftybear 06-16-2010 11:09 AM

beautiful, can you buy more fabrics and make yourself one also

Here's a link to the pattern. You can make a smaller version with one bali pop or jelly roll. I used most of two bali pops. My quilt is 72x78, 12 blocks by 13. Each block is 6" finished.

I'm thinking about it! But I've already made two of these and would rather do something new.

Your quilt is absolutely goregous! I'm a lover of Batiks, and would have a hard time parting with that quilt. Your chioce of the rasperry and pinks really sets the quilt off. Now you will neat to knock out another one for your house!
