THANK YOU...I hadn't noticed the fabric in the star until I read your post and got my glasses out. They are roosters! They make this quilt even cuter than I thought it was before.

Red Garnet..I don't really know how many..I'm just making blocks in different sizes and will put them together like a puzzle. Search on this site for "chicken" and you'll find the really great quilts that inspired me!
