got this out of a magazine several years ago showing a way to display those fabrics you just wannt look at. I love this idea, have been collecting hoops now for several years and i don't even have a sewing room!

waladopa 03-20-2011 05:10 AM

Very Pretty!

frugalfabrics 03-20-2011 05:11 AM

OOOH! I like it..

erstan947 03-20-2011 05:12 AM

I can see myself going wall shopping and use the fabric in my next scrappy quilt:):):) This really is a great idea.

sewsue 03-20-2011 05:15 AM

That is so cute and just love it but then I wont have enough space for my wallhangings.

Izaquilter 03-20-2011 05:16 AM

Wish I had the wall space to do that! My wall space is used for a large pin up board, & the 2 other walls have windows on it! Great idea

Quiltcamp 03-20-2011 05:16 AM

I love the idea - I just don't have to wall space in my tiny sewing room. Every square inch has a shelf. When you have no storage space - go vertical.

Cherylsea 03-20-2011 05:20 AM

What a clever and creative idea! Thanks for sharing.

great aunt jacqui 03-20-2011 05:24 AM

Like that idea too.

Ginger2010 03-20-2011 05:31 AM

Like your idea also! Never thought of that! I have some of them laying around here, somewhere!

craftiladi 03-20-2011 05:35 AM

I love the large hoops, great idea, thanks for sharing :}

QuiltnNan 03-20-2011 05:38 AM

if you don't have room in your sewing room, how about a hallway or breakfast nook?

quilter1 03-20-2011 05:52 AM

What a great idea. I have just moved my sewing room into my son's old bedroom so I have wall space. Thanks for the tip.

quiltnmom 03-20-2011 05:54 AM

Great idea!

juliea9967 03-20-2011 05:54 AM

Wow! What a fantastic way to display fabric. Hmmm - Now I have to find a wall with free space.

Interesting. A quilt block could go in those too. Thanks. My sewing room is currently 2x4's on the ground next to the sheet rock. I am soaking up as many ideas as I can!

DogHouseMom 03-20-2011 05:57 AM

Great way to display quilted motifs as well.

denilynne 03-20-2011 06:02 AM

charmpacksplus 03-20-2011 06:16 AM

I wonder 03-20-2011 06:20 AM

I love it! Very stylish!

quiltgrammyt2 03-20-2011 06:21 AM

Great idea, think I'll do that with some of my hoops, and hang them in the hall leading to the sewing room. :D :D

DJ 03-20-2011 06:22 AM

Wonderful idea! I think I'm going to use it. Thanks!

jemma 03-20-2011 06:27 AM

great idear thanks for shareing

oldswimmer 03-20-2011 06:27 AM

I have seen people do this with wooden frames too..and it looks nice also. I do like the "round" look...it looks like giant polka dots!

Another thing to look for at garage sales.....

mtnative 03-20-2011 06:44 AM

Great idea and when you get tired of those fabrics it would be easy to change.

BeeNana 03-20-2011 06:49 AM

With all the gorgeous fabric available
today this is a fine idea to showcase.

pdunn56 03-20-2011 07:00 AM

what a great idea..however there isn't a wall in the world big enough for all MY favorite fabrics!! LOL

stacey65 03-20-2011 07:01 AM

quiltinghere 03-20-2011 07:05 AM

wvhill22 03-20-2011 07:07 AM

that is just to cool. i really like that. I have one I can use..lol..i will have to remember this when I am yard selling

SherriB 03-20-2011 07:09 AM

Thank you for sharing such a neat idea!!!! I have some blank wall space in my sewing/family room and that will fit in perfectly!!!

quiltgran2 03-20-2011 07:10 AM

Great idea. That is potentially suitable for any room really. I think in a little child's bedroom with a theme in mind would be adorable, or a master bedroom with a particular color scheme could look gorgeous.

Lori S 03-20-2011 07:14 AM

Fabulous Idea! Ihave many hoops just looking for a use ( left overs from the country craze).

NanaCsews2 03-20-2011 07:31 AM

OMG! When I did some early spring cleaning of my sewing cabinets, I pulled out the embroidery hoops I no longer use (have an Ellegante, no more hand-embroidery for me) and put them in the huge pile of rummage sale stuff in the garage. Going to pull them back out. I now have an empty wall where the peg board for my templates and rulers went as I now have another room dedicated to ironing and cutting. (Thanks to the ever-supporting DH). This wall will now be dedicated to hoops of smaller blocks I have done. Thanks for the idea and pics! Hugs sent to you!

susanwilley 03-20-2011 07:37 AM

What a great idea! I love it!

redquilter 03-20-2011 07:43 AM

What a clever idea. Thanks for sharing. Like several of the others said, I, too, have limited wall space, but what about if we only hang one or two and change the fabric from time to time? Say, winter fabric, spring, holiday, just because, etc. etc. That might be fun!

Same here. I was wondering what to do with all my embroidery hoops b/c I don't hand embroidery anymore!

timepasser 03-20-2011 08:02 AM
