Another one down for my DH

As I was put the binding on this one for my DH, I was really thinking how much I liked the way this one turned out. He absolutely loves this pattern. I don't think he will ever get tired of making them. So, I try to keep him a supply of different focus fabrics for the x's. This solid fabric with lines is a really good one. What do you think? I used the pantograph called "Hubby Love" on it.

I love it! Great job!

Grandma Bonnie 03-30-2014 07:09 PM

Very pretty quilt! Good job by both!

AngeliaNR 03-30-2014 07:28 PM

I do like this one--a question: how much of the focus fabric does it take? I'm putting together scrappy 16 patches, and I'd like to do one of these with some of them.

Please give my compliments to your DH.

It is awesome. I really, really like it. I'm getting ready to start a scrappy. This one makes me more inclined to do one like it. Is this the one you were working on when you were involved in a movie???????

Wonderful quilt. I love all the colors together, especially the bright pink.

I love it - I really do like the solid pink with the scrappy squares - if he likes it - I say keep on doing it - I imagine if you listed them you could sale them. I think they are very nicely done.

Beautiful quilt, and it's always nice to find a man who's not afraid of pink. But I think he should be doing his own binding, LOL.

Mariposa 03-31-2014 03:07 PM

Terrific scrappy quilt!! You two work well together! Love that pink too!!

ube quilting 03-31-2014 03:09 PM

peace

debcavan 03-31-2014 03:16 PM

It is a great pattern. I can see why he doesn't get sick of it.

cindy4857 03-31-2014 03:20 PM

Wow it's pretty. He really did himself proud. Tell him great job. Your quilting really made the quilt look and feel comfy and homey. Well done both of you.

gertz 03-31-2014 03:29 PM

AngeliaNR the focus fabric is done with 3 I/2 inch squares with a 2" block on opposite ends. I just finished one but I used cream focus fabric. It takes 4 of these blkocks to make a block to fit on the 16 patch. Hope this makes sense.

wolph33 03-31-2014 05:12 PM

Looks wonderful

barny 03-31-2014 05:15 PM

Hi Piecemaker. Your Hubby is prolific. He does really good. I keep telling mine if he would retire, he could learn to sew. Heaven knows I've got the fabric. LOL

vondae 03-31-2014 05:45 PM

You both did a great job, Leesa. Looks as if the LA is back to working as well as it did before it broke. Give him a big pat on the back for me. Give him an Atta Boy!!!
