That is just great. I love it.

OMG! my eyes are jumping all over the place! Great work!

I am too cowardly to attempt any of these designs, but, I do admire those who do.

Have you seen the Fibonacci patterns that were out a few years ago? I forgot who made them and I can't locate them in my studio offhand.

What an interesting pattern.

Twisting bargello patterns give an optical illusion. I recommend Eileen Wright's book, Twist-and-Turn Bargello Quilts.
If I can figure out how to post a picture, you'll see one I made using her "Nebula" pattern. (FWIW, I reversed the light and the dark.) A photo will (I hope) appear in a subsequent posting. |

If the tech god(esse)s are on my side tonight, you'll see a photo of my Nebula quilt here:
Now that I see it, this photo looks very light and fuzzy. I hope it'll look better when y'all see it! Please trust me that, when seen in person, the 3D effect is quite strong. |

Many of the optical illusions are created by varying the width of the strips. I really like optical illusion quilts. They make a friend of mine sick to her stomach! LOL
