Another Optical Illusion for my Bucket List
1 Attachment(s)
I am going crazy on optical illusion patterns and saw the picture for this quilt during one of my searches. Well today I sat down for awhile (a long while) and created it using EQ7. I think it will be pretty neat but I may add a few more waves to it but it will have to wait - there are too many other quilts to be done before I get to it.
I have done the walking labyrinth and 3D hollow cubes and now am working on a king size quilt I designed of large 3D diamonds. If anyone has any other ideas for 3D or optical illusions I would love to hear from you! |
Have you seen the vortex quilt?
http://www.folkartmuseum.org/?p=folk&t=images&id=7263 I love this quilt. |

I really like the circle optical quilt at www.seamstobeyouandme.com that Peckish did in a challenge. She also shows some of the steps to make it.

Love all these illusion quilts. Back in the 60s, we had one wall in family room wallpapered in a black and white illusion similiar to yours. Made me dizzy, but loved it!

I am pretty sure Jinny Beyer has a similar pattern free on her website. Also here is my UFO by Erin Underwood.

That is awesome! Going to the quilt show in Santa Clara tomorrow and hope to see many more ideas to get me designing!

Cool design and with strip piecing that wouldn't be that difficult to make.
