Dina, you have done it again. I love the planets too, astronomy was my favorite subject in school. You are truly an artist.

What a great quilt. I love the planets too and I am really amazed at the pictures of the real galaxy when I look at them on line. So much color and fantastic formations! Like these...

Thanks, Josie. Astronomy was my first major in college, until I figured out I couldn't afford to go seven or eight years, which are really necessary to be an astronomer. I loved being an English teacher, my second choice, but the night sky still calls to me. :)

English teacher here, too--yay for us! My uncle was a prof of physics and astronomy--fascinating stuff. :)

I didn't know you were an English teacher! I agree....yay for us. :) I loved most of the 39 years that I taught 7th, 8th, 9th, and 10th graders. It was only state testing that made any of it not fun.

How neat to have an uncle who was a prof of physics and astronomy. The stuff of my dreams.....
