I haven't accomplished much this year. This is only the 3rd quilt this year that I've done for Quilts For Kids. Seems like life just kept getting in the way but I hope to start gaining ground again. The FMQ is also the 3rd I've done this year - on my DSM - thank you, Leah Day!! I'm a far cry from keeping abreast of her 2012 quilt along but what I've done so far has been a huge help.

Only the third quilt this year! Oh my, guess I had better get busy as I have done none this year so far. To busy looking at everyones quilts. I think this will be the Christmas of the hot pads and pot holders. This quilt is just darling. Did you quilt it on your domestic machine. Really like the way it looks. Bless you for doing this. Hope you and all the Mothers have a great day. BrendaK

Well three quilts is pretty good. Many people don't even make 3 blocks in a year. This quilt should make someone happy. Be blessed. Grace

Love your quilt, so bright and cheery. You're well ahead of me, I've only managed small projects so far.

It is VERY cute, and you couldn't have found a better fabric for the borders!

Love the fabric. Third quilt this year, man I only made one. I need to catch up. Got to have two quilts finish by the time I visit my son, DIL and grands in Illinois in July.

Some little boy is going to love that quilt! Thanks for doing a "boy" quilt. They seem to be in short supply. Three quilts in a year is excellent! You go, girl!

Cute quilt and just enough quilting.
It's been a slow year for me also. I have been helping my sister with her husband who is in stage four cancer. Along with that I have my own husban who is seventeen years older than I am, which means that I do all the yard work along with the whole house thing. Oh......I have to cook also!! It's amazing that with an Awsome God I am able to stay focused.
That's gonna make some little boy - or girl :) - happy.
Have to agree with BrendaK...only the 3rd quilt this year! Just finished a small baby quilt and didn't even try quilting it myself. That was quilt #1 for this year. Hoping to get busy on another one next month. Too much going on this month.
Some little boy will love this one!
I learned to free motion on my home sewing machine by watching Leah Day as well. Her tutorials are great.
Beautiful quilt for a little one. Our guild makes doll quilts for head start and the children appreciate them so much. We made over 1000 last year. I make quilts for unwed mothers and children in hospitals as well and it is "truly more blessed to give than receive." |
