I love this one.
didn't get great pictures though so i'm showing kind of a 'whole quilt' which does not show the 'piano keys' borders- so had to take another one with those---then a close up of some of the fabrics i used. this is another one completely out of stash/scraps. still have to quilt it of course- it is for a friend who requested it for her hubby's new man-cave- they didn't want sports---they wanted---woodsy :) just my 'cup of tea!' |
Great scrappy quilt!

I really LOVE that quilt! How did you do the oval at the top and bottom?
WOW is right. Love the design work in this. And I love your tree panels near the bottom. Beautiful fabrics.

Beautiful fabrics and beautiful quilt!!
What a great quilt! The fabrics are wonderful, hardly looks scrappy.
Beautiful quilt! You must have a lot of nice stash/scraps!
thanks everyone! i love how it came together too! the (ovals) at the top & bottom are blocks from a panal---I believe a Holly Taylor panal from a number of years ago- i just cut the circle blocks out (in a square) outside the 1/4" design frame on the fabric and used the blocks- i think they are 6" squares.
most of those (picture fabrics) were 'swiss cheese' pieces from a couple panals i had used parts of years ago- finally decided to (get creative) it's so fun when a plan comes together :) |
Wowee! That is really really handsome. How much work! I really like that quilt.
Beautiful workmanship and choice of colors - just as your quilts always have. I love it!

I love how you've featured some beautiful fabrics in larger pieces. Everything looks so perfect together.

Wow!!!! Can't be said enough!!! Hard to believe it's a scrappy quilt !! I wish I had scraps like that in my stash and know how to put it together!!!! I'd love to make one like that!!!
You did a fantastic job and the idea of this for a man-cave--it is PERFECT. And really pretty (but we can call it handsome since it is for a man)!! Congratulations--and I agree with those who say it doesn't look scrappy in a traditional sense. You did a great job of coordination.
