Another Scrappy from the SCRAP pile ...
1 Attachment(s)
Another top finished... My mom gave me the 'peach' fabric- she acquired it at a garage sale- YAY MOM !!
This was not made from a pattern but from an oops cut and I decided to run with it and see where it lead me... My kiddo says it looks like fishy's so we named it- ' a Lil bit Fishy' It was made from tons of small scraps cut up into (leaders and enders) 2x2.. The body of the fishes contain 64 2x2 sqs and I bordered it with more scrappy 2x2's.. I have to admit this quilt used up most of my remaining leaders and enders squares.. IM happy to say Ive tamed that box of 2x2's... ( and now to tackle the strips !!!!!) |
Beautiful - who's the lucky person that gets to cuddle up under it? Maybe your kiddo?
Great use of scraps! I like this quilt.
I love the scrappy border using leaders and enders, what a great idea. This is a beautiful quilt!

I love your creative use of scraps. Thank goodness for the mis-cut.
Very pretty,,
I love it. I have been cutting 2 inch squares to make one of these. Your design is wonderful. Thanks for sharing.
A great way to clear out a box! Kudos to you on a nice colorful quilt!
Nicely done! But how many scraps do you still have to use? Luann

Turned out beautiful! Great use of your scraps!!!
What a great pattern for using up those small scraps, awesome quilt.
I love scrappy quilts, yours is fantastic. I often raid my Mom's stash too, she has tons of fabrics and has gotten to the point where she's not as interested in sewing as she once was. Works for me!
Beautiful quilt! BUT...you know scraps 'breed' during the hours of darkness:D!!!
It turned out lovely your determination paid off using the leader enders system congratulations I think you did a great job!
nicely done
Very pretty scrappy. I doubt I would have enough patience to sew all the 2 x 2" squares together.
Wow - that's a lot of 2x2s! Great job!
Someone asked " How many scraps do you have?'
Well.... Im not one to toss away a good scrap ( EVER) so I work my way from whatever size scrap it is and Ill match it to the size of an Accuquilt Die.. if its a smidge smaller than a FQ then it gets cut into a Tumbler or 9in Hexie then the scrap goes down the list of dies until the smallest die I have, which is 2x2.. Anything smaller I have a container to give to fellow QB member for her 1.5 postage stamp quilt.. And if its larger than 3/4 of an inch and smaller than 1.5 it goes in the 'crumb' box.. for the never ending crumb quilt WIP ive got.. My strips and 2x2 are the ones that get unruly from time to time so I use them as often as I can to tame them down.. But in all honesty- they breed in the night !!!!!! Thanks for looking... |
Such a beautiful scrappy quilt. It would look nice on my bed.
