Ok yall, I have another star to show....I did this last night..It is the same pattern I used for the Big Star Quilt that I showed yall.....This one is only about 28" x 28". The 1/2 squares are cut from an 8" square...I am going to put a boarder around it and then I am going to tea dye this one to give it more of an old worn look.....As soon as I am completely done with it I will post it......

really? cool. so where do i find the pattern? is it basicaly blocks and hsq?

it is just 1/2 squares cut from a 8" block and then you cut the 4 corner block to fit the size of the 1/2 sq blocks... this is really a quick and easy pattern....I hope you do one and please post it if you do...I'd love to see others....This is also a very pretty one if done with all the 1/2's a different color.....

do you dye with real tea? with the detergents we have these days I figured it would wash right out, I do like the look of tea dyed stuff though.

I do use real tea and the cheapest tea works the best....Someone told me that a long time ago...(The longer you leave it in the tea; the better the look will be).... I always make sure I let the item dry real good and then I put it in the dryer before I wash it...that seems to work for me... :P

Ya know, I haven't thought about that.....that's an idea...but if you can put together a 1/2 square you can make these stars quick and easy....this pattern can be used for different star patterns....
have you had a chance to start your block yet....It would be nice to see everyone making stars------wouldnt it? :P
