I think that this UFO is four years old. I made one for my nephew, Levi and quilted his name into the squares. I had enough fabric to do two at the time, but somehow this one languished without purpose or deadline. As I dig deeper into my piles (the goal is to rediscover the floor) I am trying to finish an old UFO and alternate with a Newer stash using project. My last UFO was kind of both ... and I have another UFO that is in border-stage. I had to unpick one edge of the border that tripped me up for awhile.

I think your idea is fantastic and how I would do UFOs instead of "nonstop" like some are doing.

Looks very similar to one I'm doing for my granddaughter right now. So of course I like your quilt, especially the bright colors against the white.

Very nice. I love the bright colors. The backing fabric really suits it. I see a music note quilted on one of the squares. What did you put on the other squares?

8" squares and the strips & small squares are 2" ... for 7.5" & 1.5" finished. Works up fairly quickly once you have the variety of colors. Oh and amounts ... (1) 8" square and 22" of the 2" strip for each color ... Haven't measured the background fabric as it is one of my nuetral print on prints that I keep plenty of around. |
very nice!
