I got another package in the mail addressed to "Queenie" from one of my Ugly Fabric Fairies but this one is a miss I think cause I really like this fabric. Thank you so much Fairy. You are wonderful.

quiltluvr 04-15-2010 10:14 AM

I agree. That's something that you can see made into something.

quiltsRfun 04-15-2010 10:15 AM

I know you'll do something wonderful with it but it's not my taste. I'd also put it in the ugly category. LOL

And I apologize in adance to anyone I might have offended.

SulaBug 04-15-2010 10:26 AM

I like it too!! :D You got a winner this time!! Can't wait to see how you decide to use it!!
:D :D :D :D

SaraSewing 04-15-2010 10:51 AM

Sorry, I vote UGLY. What on earth do you have planned for this little textile??

Marjpf 04-15-2010 10:56 AM

I could see a quilt for a young boy. Otherwise not my taste either.

Absolutely LMFAO!! You dislike it so much you call it by it's generic corporate name. Doesn't even qualify as fabric but a textile.

sewnsewer2 04-15-2010 11:10 AM

 I like it too!

Sabre3of4 04-15-2010 11:53 AM

I could see that fabric in the Route 66 quilt I'm making. It reminds me of the funny little motels that were found along it.....

Sabrina

Pam 04-15-2010 12:00 PM

There is the funky neighborhood block exchange going. I bet a few quilts might just have a motel....

Bevanger 04-15-2010 04:05 PM

Being a scrappy quilter, I see it in a quilt real easy.

dkabasketlady 04-15-2010 05:02 PM

I agree, nothing ugly about that fabric!!

daisey 04-15-2010 05:12 PM

Hmmm there is very few fabrics I dislike,,,but sorry this one I would have to vote ugly.

renee765 04-15-2010 05:30 PM

I try not to say this often, but that is ugly. What are the big orange things?

littlehud 04-15-2010 05:37 PM

It's unusual. But I like it.

daisey 04-15-2010 05:37 PM

omg I just thought of an idea this maybe a great stack and whack quilt! It would be really cool...

daisey 04-15-2010 05:38 PM

Are we supposed to send you ugly fabric? Ill look but its hard for me to find ugly fabric...

EllaBud 04-15-2010 05:42 PM

You got lucky! I actually like it too.

Daisey there are a few that have lovingly decided to perpetuate the "Ugly Fabric Queen" title I received a long while ago. They send me their "Ugly" fabric and I give it a loving home. It is a game that I am enjoying immensely. All are welcomed to join or just sit back and enjoy the game.

I think this would be a great stack and whack. The Orange things are Loon lake cabin signs.

Esqmommy 04-16-2010 05:55 AM

Yup...ugly all right.

Tippy 04-16-2010 05:58 AM

I wouldn't buy it.. and I'll buy almost anything for the right price... but it might make a decent OBW!!

Ninnie 04-16-2010 08:00 AM

Sorry K, but I vote ugly

craftybear 04-16-2010 08:10 AM

have fun with your fabric

AnnieF 04-16-2010 08:33 AM

Wouldn't it be cool as the border on a travel quilt with fabric pictures of the trip?

mrs. fitz 04-16-2010 03:37 PM

To Sabre3of4, I hope you'll post photos of your Route 66 quilt when it's done (and yes I agree this fabric would be perfect for it). I have a "thing" about Route 66. Also like the orange in the fabric. IMO it's a fun fabric.

STEMSAM 04-16-2010 03:38 PM

Pretty!

We have a member who lives in Kingman - right on route 66. I you want any decal type patches for your quilt, I'll bet she could find them there!

Oklahoma Suzie 04-16-2010 03:53 PM

I like it too

theresse 04-16-2010 07:32 PM

It's not the prettest fabric I've seen, but the posibilities of that fabric are humunguss. sp? I think I actualy do like that. Good luck - have fun quilting. Theresse

I happen to have this fabric too but I bought it with a purpose in mind. My DH rides a Harley so of course it had to be a skull cap!!! I'm sure you will find something quite appropriate for it! Good Luck.

annieshane 04-17-2010 10:47 AM

This is truly not one of my favorites; however, I do see that as part of a quilt for motor home travelers, campers, boys room. Also, the basis of a memories quilt with family vacation photos, etc.

Do post your quilt when completed so we can enjoy your creativity.

joy 04-17-2010 12:09 PM

That material would make a nice shoulder bag...

JANETW 04-17-2010 02:01 PM

I realley llike that fabric. We use to stay at a Big Chief Motel here in Michigan at the bridge. I think that is to funny

Rainbow 04-17-2010 03:02 PM

Great idea !!!!

Perfect for a One Block Wonder quilt!!!

roseOfsharon 04-17-2010 07:33 PM

That is certainly a mix bag. I do think as someone said earlier of the Funky Neighborhood swap.. I can see it used there for sure!

Margie 04-17-2010 08:04 PM

SORRY...I vote major UGLY lol....but to each his own.

Twisted Quilter 04-17-2010 08:09 PM

Sorry, but this is one fabric I would have to pass on... even on the clearance rack. Yuk!

zz-pd 04-17-2010 11:05 PM

well its different but not ugly. Penny

cyniree 04-18-2010 04:53 AM

Look forward to seeing what you make with the fabric.
