Very pretty! What a great way to show your appreciation to someone who shared words of wisdom.

Thanks D. Are you talking that the pieces were 1/2 inch finished making them come from 1" cuts? What all did the kit entail? G

No the pieces were 1/2 in or less, I think they were made as a joke.

OH is this "the world's smallest crazy quilt" kit? A friend of mine gave me the "kit" in a bunch of small scraps she saved for me. I got the last laugh as I made a little crazy quilt with the fabrics, had to add some they did give enough pieces. Then framed it in a little frame similar to this one. She got a good laugh as did the other guild members!

Thanks again for your kind words, everyone.

Beautiful!! One question, is the piece in the frame quilted with a backing and all?

No, what I did was take the flimsy cardboard that was in the frame, cut a piece of batting (LT WT) that size, affixed it with spray glue. When I put the yellow borders on I made sure they were wide enough to wrap around to the back of the cardboard, and lightly glued in place. Because the cardboard was so lightweight I stitiched through all the layers (cardboard, too) lengthwise down the two sides of the "quilt". Cleaned off the glass, plopped the quilt into the frame and put the picture back on. I didn't worry about a preservationist perspective on this.

These are wonderful! I admire that you work with such small pieces. Thanks for the info on how you framed the second one.

I love the framed one. It has a striking simplicity. Like a sophisticated folk art.
