DS and DDIL just adopted a little boy ... so Grammy made him a quilt. Never mind that Grammy is recovering from a total knee replacement and only has THREE weeks to do it in. Only a panel with added borders - from my stash. Not my best work ... but he loves it! I'd laid it out on the couch to take a picture - turned to get my phone to take a picture and turned around to see him making a beeline for it. He grabbed it off the sofa, shook it and threw it on the floor and claimed it!

What a lucky little boy. He will be much loved and grandma will be busy for many years with her machine churning out some lovely items. The list is endless for little ones....quilts, clothes, playmats, cloth books etc.

Best wishes to the new mum and dad also.

Everything came from my stash ... I remember picking it up because I'd been told "red" tractors were not printed but lately that's about all I've seen. Keep looking!

Way to go Grammy. What fun and what a delightful Christmas you will have, despite recovering from your knee replacement. Times like this cannot be replicated, so enjoy them and give when you have the opportunity. : )

What a great memory picture of him with it! And a fun quilt you made. I can imagine the dreams that went into the making!

MargeD 11-29-2015 11:09 AM

Well, looks like he has given his seal of approval for the quilt. My heart soars when I gift a quilt and the recipient is thrilled to receive it. That's one of the reasons I quilt, so I can pass on love to friends and family.

jjsnacks 11-29-2015 11:16 AM
