Oh, I KNOW! I really have no more room in my bedroom, so it's still sitting in the kitchen for now. The new rooms are really getting close to being finished. There needs to be a little more mudding, then all the sanding, and the ceilings will need to be finished...after that, we can paint! I don't know what I'm going to put down for the floor. I know it isn't carpet, though.

The 319W was Singers answer to an "industrial" domestic. It is a work horse and can do all sorts of nice stitches.

I had one I found on CL Mobile but when my niece went to pick it up for me her MIL was with her and went bonkers when she saw it. She had lost the one she received as a wedding gift to a house fire so I told her that she could have it. It was super clean and was only used to sew a set of curtains when the lady bought it new. Easy come, easy go....

When it comes time for you to clean the machine up use Go-Jo non pumice hand cleaner and lots of cotton balls and Q-tips. It takes a while but the results are phenomenal, then you can use a good carnuba automotive wax to polish it.

Congratulations on your new old machine!!!

Congratulations! I know you will love it and your husband was so sweet to get it for you.

Thanks, ladies!

Lostn51, that was very sweet of you. I would've done the same, though. I have seen them on eBay, if you are still looking for one.

I am going to hold off until I find one around here. I mainly own treadles and I will always go to one of them before and electric, but my wish list is steadily growing and there are quite a few emachines on it.

Now go have some fun and make something to show off!!! :D

I put the machine back in the cabinet last night for the first time since I got it. I was going to put it in my room, but there is NO room left in there.
I'm working on a wall hanging for Halloween, but I've been using one of my other machines for it.
I did start on a small quilted square with some of the embroidery stitches it will do. I was thinking of turning it into a small wall hanging for my new sewing room.

I have a treadle, but it has a broken piece in it...MacGuyver broke it trying to free it up. He says he's going to fix it, but I haven't pushed him. He's building a sewing room, so...I'll let him work.
